The Indianapolis Art Museum Gabion project was started in October 2009 and was finished in April 2010. Commissioned by the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Courtesy of the Artist and Galerie Lelong, New York. Galerie Lelong that envisioned the park named it “Park of the Laments” which means seeing the light. The specifications on the wall is 9 ft. x 1,000 ft. The Architect for the project was Wheeler Kearns from Chicago, IL. The General Contractor was Hagerman Construction Group from Fishers, IN. The installer was the Simmons Group out of Pittsboro, IN. Over 250 gabions were used for the project.
